Terms of Service

Version 1.0

Effective date: 04 August 2026

  1. Introduction

Welcome, and thank you for visiting She’s Workin’ On It.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) explain how my services work and set out the agreement between you and me when you use my website or purchase my services or digital products.

They are designed to protect both you and my business by setting out what you can expect from me, what I ask of you, and how we will work together.

By booking a mentoring session, purchasing an async portfolio review, buying a digital product, or otherwise using my paid services, you agree to these Terms.

If you have any questions before purchasing, please get in touch at hello@shesworkinonit.com.

Throughout these Terms:

  • “I”, “me” and “my” refer to Victoria Borrowdale, trading as She’s Workin’ On It.

  • “You” and “your” refer to the individual or organisation purchasing or using my services.

  1. What These Terms Cover

These Terms apply to all services and digital products offered through She’s Workin’ On It, including:

  • 1:1 mentoring sessions

  • Async portfolio reviews

  • Digital products, such as guides, templates and downloads

  • Workshops, talks and other educational content

  • Any other products or services offered through She’s Workin’ On It

Each service or product will include its own description, pricing and any additional information before you make a purchase.

If there is ever a conflict between these Terms and the information provided on a specific product or service page, the information provided for that product or service will take precedence for that purchase.

My services are educational and based on my professional knowledge and experience. Unless I explicitly state otherwise, they are not accredited qualifications or certifications and do not guarantee any particular outcome.

  1. Booking & Payment

The price of each service or product will be shown before you complete your purchase.

Payment is required in full at the time of booking or purchase unless I agree otherwise in writing.

Payments are processed securely by third-party payment providers. I don’t store or have access to your full payment details.

By placing a booking or order, you confirm that you’re at least 18 years old, or that you have the permission of a parent or legal guardian to enter into this agreement.

It’s your responsibility to ensure that the information you provide when booking or purchasing, including your email address, is accurate and up to date. I’ll use these details to communicate with you and, where applicable, deliver your purchased service or digital product.

If I believe a booking or order has been made fraudulently or in breach of these Terms, I reserve the right to cancel it and issue a refund where appropriate.

I reserve the right to change my prices at any time. Any price changes won’t affect purchases that have already been confirmed.

  1. Mentoring Sessions

Mentoring sessions are delivered online using the platform specified at the time of booking.

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your session.

Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, aren’t refundable or eligible for rescheduling.

If you’re running late, please let me know as soon as possible. Sessions will still finish at the scheduled end time so that I can respect other bookings.

If I need to cancel or reschedule a session, I’ll give you as much notice as reasonably possible and offer an alternative appointment at the earliest mutually convenient opportunity. If I’m unable to provide the service, you’ll receive a full refund.

Mentoring sessions aren’t recorded by default.

Please don’t record mentoring sessions without my prior written permission. If you’d like a recording, you’re welcome to ask before your session. Recording requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis and, where we both agree, a recording may be made.

  1. Async Portfolio Reviews

Async portfolio reviews include a personalised video review and a PDF checklist, unless otherwise stated.

I’ll normally deliver your review within 5 working days of receiving everything I need to complete it. If I expect it to take longer, I’ll let you know as soon as possible.

If you need to cancel your order before I’ve started reviewing your portfolio, please email hello@shesworkinonit.com as soon as possible.

Once I’ve started work on your review, refunds are no longer available because the service is personalised and time has already been invested in preparing your feedback.

To complete your review, you’ll need to provide all requested portfolio materials and information. It’s your responsibility to ensure they’re accurate, accessible and ready for review.

Delivery times begin once I’ve received all requested information and I’m able to access the materials you’ve provided.

If I’m unable to access the materials you’ve provided, I’ll let you know as soon as possible and delivery times may be affected until the issue is resolved.

Your completed review will remain available to download for 90 days after delivery. After this time, I may remove the files as part of my regular housekeeping. I recommend downloading and keeping a copy of both your video review and PDF for your own records.

Your personalised video review and PDF checklist are provided for your personal use only. Please don’t copy, share, publish, redistribute, resell or otherwise make them available to anyone else without my prior written permission.

  1. Digital Products

Digital products include downloadable resources and on-demand educational content, such as guides, templates, workbooks, checklists, recorded workshops, courses and other digital materials.

Unless otherwise stated, payment is required in full before a digital product is made available.

Because digital products are supplied electronically and can’t be returned, purchases are generally non-refundable, except where required by applicable consumer law.

Once a digital product has been made available for download or access, you’re responsible for downloading and keeping a copy where appropriate.

Unless otherwise stated, digital products are licensed for your personal, non-commercial use only. You must not copy, share, publish, redistribute, resell, sublicense or otherwise make them available to anyone else without my prior written permission.

From time to time, I may update or improve my digital products. Unless otherwise stated, purchasing a digital product doesn’t guarantee access to future updates, additional content or new versions.

  1. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, all content I create and provide through She’s Workin’ On It, including my website, branding, text, graphics, digital products, mentoring materials, portfolio reviews and other resources, remains my intellectual property and is protected by copyright and other applicable laws.

Purchasing a service or digital product grants you a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. It doesn’t transfer ownership of any intellectual property rights to you.

Unless I’ve given you my prior written permission, you must not copy, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, sell, sublicense or otherwise make my content available to anyone else.

Where I create personalised materials for you, such as portfolio reviews, you may keep and use them for your own personal reference, but they remain my intellectual property and must not be shared, published or redistributed without my written permission.

Nothing in these Terms prevents you from applying the knowledge, skills or feedback you’ve gained through my services to your own work, portfolio or professional development. Your own work remains yours.

  1. Confidentiality

I treat the information you share with me as confidential and will only use it to provide the service you’ve purchased.

I won’t knowingly share your portfolio, personal information or the details of our mentoring discussions with anyone else without your permission, unless I’m required to do so by law.

I may discuss common themes, challenges, questions, experiences and learning points from my mentoring sessions and portfolio reviews in an anonymised way for educational purposes, including on my website, YouTube channel, social media or other content. I won’t identify you, share your portfolio or disclose personal information without your permission.

I won’t use your portfolio, personal information or other materials to train AI models, nor will I knowingly provide them to third parties for AI training.

I’ll retain your information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide my services or meet my legal obligations. Please see my Privacy Policy for more information about how I collect, use and protect your personal data.

  1. Professional Advice & Disclaimer

My services are intended to provide education, mentoring, guidance and professional feedback based on my knowledge and experience.

My advice and feedback are based on the information and materials you provide. You’re responsible for ensuring they’re accurate, complete, lawful and up to date. I won’t be responsible for any advice or feedback that’s affected by incomplete, inaccurate or misleading information or by materials I can’t reasonably access or verify.

While I’ll always aim to provide honest, practical and thoughtful advice, I can’t guarantee any particular outcome, including interviews, job offers, promotions, salary increases or career progression.

You’re responsible for the decisions you make and the actions you take based on my feedback. My services are designed to support your learning and development, but they shouldn’t be considered legal, financial, medical, mental health or other regulated professional advice.

My feedback reflects my professional judgement and experience at the time it’s given. Different professionals may reasonably have different opinions or approaches.

  1. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special loss or damage arising from your use of my services, digital products or website.

You’re solely responsible for how you choose to apply my advice, feedback and recommendations, and for any decisions or actions you take as a result. My advice and feedback reflect my professional judgement and experience at the time they’re given. Different professionals may reasonably have different opinions or approaches.

My total liability for any claim relating to a service or digital product will not exceed the amount you paid for that specific service or product.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that can’t legally be excluded or limited under the laws of England and Wales. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that can’t legally be excluded.

  1. Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under applicable consumer law.

  1. Events Outside My Control

I won’t be responsible for delays or failures in providing my services where they’re caused by circumstances beyond my reasonable control. This may include, but isn’t limited to, illness, accidents, internet or technology failures, power outages, severe weather, natural disasters, government action or other unforeseen events.

Neither of us will be liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.

If this happens, I’ll let you know as soon as reasonably possible and, where appropriate, we’ll arrange an alternative date, revised delivery timeframe or refund.

Where an event outside my reasonable control prevents me from providing a service for an extended period, I reserve the right to cancel the booking and issue an appropriate refund.

  1. Respectful Behaviour

I aim to provide a welcoming, respectful and inclusive environment for everyone.

I reserve the right to refuse or end a service if I reasonably believe a customer’s behaviour is abusive, threatening, discriminatory, harassing or otherwise inappropriate.

Where appropriate, I’ll decide whether a full or partial refund is suitable, taking into account the work already completed and the circumstances.

  1. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with any information provided on the relevant product or service page, form the entire agreement between you and me in relation to your purchase.

They replace any previous discussions, communications or understandings relating to that purchase.

  1. Waiver

If I don't immediately enforce any part of these Terms, this doesn't mean I've waived my right to enforce it later.

  1. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

  1. Changes to These Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to my services, legal requirements or the way my business operates.

The version of these Terms that applies to your purchase will be the version that was in effect at the time your booking or order was confirmed.

  1. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

  1. Contact

If you have any questions about these Terms or my services, please get in touch.
